Foundation

In this in-person class, students will be guided through all the fundamentals of printmaking including exploring different paper types and their effects on the printed image, digital chromogenic prints and inkjet prints, critical decision making involved in making your own prints (or having your own prints made) from start to finish, and more.

Students must have their own film scans or digital images on hand they would like to print, and a laptop computer with Photoshop CS5 or later installed. A digital camera would be useful if the student would like to also make images for this class to work on during the duration of the class (outside of class time). Participants’ must be proficient with their computer. Being proficient in Photoshop is an asset, but not required.
