Ralph Nevins is mainly an Ottawa-based photographer, though, not exclusivity. Nevins works with experimental slitscan photography, utilizing self-built digital cameras or processed high-speed video.
Carrousel Venitien Digital is part of an ongoing Circus project, created utilizing high-speed 4k video, post-processed to a still image. This project is a different visualization of the circus/country fair & its performers.

Ralph Nevins est un artiste photographe qui vit à Ottawa. Nevins travaille avec un procédé expérimental de photographie « slit-scan » en utilisant des caméras numériques construites de ses propres mains ou des vidéos traitées à haute vitesse.
Cette image fait partie d’un projet en cours intitulé Circus. Elle a été créée à l’aide d’une vidéo 4k à haute vitesse et post-traité pour obtenir une image fixe. Le projet est une visualisation différente du cirque, de la foire et de ses artistes.

The SPAO PHOTO WALK is an ongoing and evolving outdoor installation featuring large-scale photographic artworks. Designed as a photographic treasure hunt of sorts, visitors and tourists alike are encouraged to explore and engage with our vibrant Little Italy neighbourhood.
HOW ARE ARTWORKS SELECTED?
The artworks selected for the SPAO PHOTO WALK launch installation were selected from a nationwide open call and by an assessor jury made up of nationally recognized industry leaders.
