Image by SPAO alum Ann Ellis

Nurture your passion for photography and learn the fundamentals of digital image capture. Digital Photography I: Foundation is designed to help you better understand your camera and create quality photographs. Topics include:

  • Camera operation

  • Lighting

  • Composition

  • Basic file management

You will explore technical and aesthetic issues pertaining to portraiture, landscape, and still-life photography through lectures, discussions, practical hands-on exercises, and shooting assignments.

*Each session of our Foundation courses will reserve one space for the Youth Foundation Initiative. This means that someone between 16-20 years old will have the opportunity to take the course at no cost to them! Apply to the Youth Foundation Initiative here.

All students in the Foundation courses will receive a $100 voucher upon completion of the course which can be applied to a future Part-Time Studies course or workshop at SPAO!
