DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY II:
Beyond the Basics
This course moves beyond basic camera knowledge to equip students with the ability to identify and troubleshoot problems in their images. Designed around a series of shooting assignments, students will be encouraged to treat every assignment as a project, with the ultimate intention of publicly presenting and sharing their work with their colleagues. Students will learn to:
Recover and enhance flawed images
Compensate for shortcomings in the original composition
Correct exposure and white balance
Introduce contrast and sharpness
Experiment with a variety of visual ideas and creative approaches
Use Capture One and Photoshop to edit images
This course is perfect for those looking to explore their photographic style, moving beyond basic camera mechanics, to a more holistic, artistic approach to image making.
