This workshop about photographing interior spaces will be led by Adrien Duey, former director of photography for Chez-Soi, a decorating publication.
Duey will build upon the three main elements of architectural interior photography: vantage point selection, composition and room editing, and lighting interior spaces (i.e., color temperature, mixed lighting, and flash fill).
By collaborating with architects and interior designers, photographers can better understand how to approach the photography of interior spaces. As photographers, our role is to interpret these rooms and spaces.
Photographers who work indoors have a set of tools and a set of rules that are specific to location interior work. Topics will include: lens selection including tilt and shift lenses, off-camera flash, lighting in tight spaces, HDR, room editing and furniture placement, and re-creating the mood that is felt in a room.
This workshop will be held both in the classroom and on location.
