High Speed Photography
Class full - email email@example.com to be added to the waitlist
This intensive one day workshop will introduce you to the technique of taking pictures of phenomena that are usually too fast to be visible to the human eye. Libby Hsiao - imaging scientist - will teach students event synchronization methods and techniques to capture high speed events. Using a variety of sensors, triggering control mechanisms and technical lighting considerations you will understand through discussions and demonstrations. Students will apply these concepts in the studio to image liquid droplet collisions and other time synchronized phenomenon.
Student requirements: Students must have their own camera with bulb mode capability. Interchangeable lens cameras equipped with short-to-medium telephoto are preferred. Macro lenses and light modifiers are optional. Also required are a tripod, electronic cable or shutter release and an externally synced speed light.
