CAPTURE TO PRINT
When creating a body of work, a photographer creates a deep personal connection to their project. A story is being told. How does one communicate that story to the rest of the world? In this ten-week master class, participants will learn how to develop an effective and powerful project from image capture to final print.
Whether your chosen subject matter is portraiture, landscape, architecture or still life, this master class stresses the workflow needed to produce a body of work. SPAO Director Michael Tardioli will guide you through the steps from pre-visualization, sketching, set design, scouting, camera equipment, lights, and composition, to the final produced master print.
Through working with visual artists at all levels, Tardioli brings a wealth of experience to the table. This personalized ten-week session will not only improve your technical skills, composition and visualization - it will give you the workflow to continue on with your project.
REQUIREMENTS: Students must have their own film or digital SLR camera and laptop computer with Photoshop CS4 or later installed. Thirty-day trial versions of software are available to those who do not have Photoshop installed. As this is a master level course, proficiency with camera techniques and Photoshop are expected. Enrolment is limited to ensure one-on-one attention.
