Donate Your Old Digital!

One of our AOE members, Christopher Gilliatt, has recently worked in Guatemala with a charity called Hearts & Hands  installing wood burning stoves in local homes. The work is done in conjunction with Peace Corps volunteers who live in the local communities and act as translators on stove installations. The Peace Corp would like to initiate a program to teach children photography along with an arts program which promotes self esteem and respect through photography and the arts. In order to do this, they need a supply of digital cameras. If anyone has a camera they would like to donate, it would be much appreciated by the volunteers and students. In addition, if going to Guatemala for 2 weeks with Hearts & Hands is something you might consider, there may be an opportunity to take any cameras collected yourself and spend some time with the Peace Corps staff and/or build stoves with Hearts & Hands. They are often looking for volunteers, who pay their own way.
