Advanced Digital Printmaking
This class will allow intermediate and advanced printmaking students to develop their skills and hone their craft. Participants will develop their ability to see and understand the aesthetic requirements of prints, and will refine digital techniques to control the final look of their own works. This will be achieved through:
- focused practice and advice addressing selected key issues, such as masking techniques;
- extensive print critiques, edit advice, and printing;
- a class exhibition of prints from the portfolio prints created by each participant during the course;
- class size seven to nine participants (maximum).
Participants should have access to a laptop computer. Participants will supply their own paper; specialty papers will be available for purchase from SPAO. Students will be able to print on SPAO's 17" printers during class and would also qualify for vastly reduced costs printing on the instructor's 44" Epson SureColor P9000 (arguably the best 44" printer there is for fine art printing).
This class includes a small class exhibition, time and place TBD.
